Government revises speed limits up to 120kph on expressways

Speed limit for cars also raised to 100kph on national highways; 70kph in the cities, 60kph for two-wheelers in the city and 80kph for CVs. The government has raised speed limits on India's roads. As per the revised speed limits, cars can now be driven at 120kph on expressways, and 100kph on national highways. The speed limit for two wheelers and commercial vehicles has also been revised to 80kph on highways. In effect, the maximum speeds for expressways and highways have all been increased by 20kph.
